Activated Carbon for Spray Coating & Powder Coating Industry — Coating Exhaust Purification

Spray coating and powder coating are widely used for metal, plastic and workpiece surface finishing. The coating process releases large volumes of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), paint aerosols, solvent vapors and irritating paint odors. Activated carbon adsorption is a proven, cost-effective technology for exhaust gas purification in paint booths and powder coating lines.

Our pellet and granular activated carbon is tailored for coating waste gas treatment, stable for continuous operation in painting workshops, auto coating lines, metal component powder coating factories.

Core Application Scenarios

  1. Liquid Spray Booth Exhaust VOCs Removal Adsorb solvent vapors such as xylene, toluene, ethyl acetate, acetone and butyl acetate released during wet spray painting. Reduce VOCs concentration and eliminate paint odor from paint booth exhaust.
  2. Powder Coating Line Waste Gas Treatment Treat hot exhaust from powder curing ovens. Capture thermal decomposition organics and residual monomers generated during powder coating baking, control workshop odor and satisfy emission standards.
  3. Paint Fume & Odor Control in Finishing Workshops Remove irritating paint smell inside coating workshops, improve working environment and protect operators from exposure to harmful volatile organic vapors.
  4. Solvent Recovery from Coating Exhaust For high-concentration solvent exhaust streams, activated carbon adsorption coupled with desorption and condensation recycles organic solvents, cuts raw material cost and supports green production.
  5. Pre-treatment for RTO / Catalytic Oxidation Systems Filter out trace organic pollutants and residual paint mist, protect RTO and catalyst from contamination and blockage, extending the service life of high-cost thermal treatment equipment.

Why Choose Our Activated Carbon for Coating Industry

  • Optimized micropore structure for high adsorption capacity of paint solvent VOCs
  • High mechanical strength, low dust generation, stable performance in continuous gas flow
  • Multiple forms: pellet activated carbon for fixed adsorption towers, granular carbon for compact filters
  • Low pressure drop, reduces fan power consumption for paint booth ventilation systems
  • Resistant to oil and slight paint mist contamination
  • Bulk export supply for large auto parts, hardware and metal coating factories

How It Works

Coating exhaust gas flows through activated carbon adsorption tower. Solvent and VOCs molecules are trapped inside carbon pores by physical adsorption. Once saturated, the carbon can be regenerated by hot steam or hot air desorption, and the recovered solvent is condensed and recycled.
